The 2024 Catalyst Award winners are Julia Kadel, co-founder of the Miracle League of Palm Beach County and Ted Hoskinson, founder of Roots and Wings. Ms. Kadel has been running the Miracle League since 2005 giving special needs children the ability to play baseball. She has touched the lives of thousands of people and has built a supportive community for families through baseball. Mr. Hoskinson’s organization works successfully with elementary school students who need help with reading. His program also recognizes teachers and has achieved demonstrable improvements in reading scores. He has grown from one school to a countywide organization serving 1,300 students in the Palm Beaches.
