PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — In a special event on Wednesday, a group of 100 high school seniors from Palm Beach County were not only recognized for their graduation but also for their strides toward higher education.
A new partnership with the Carl Angus DeSantis Foundation was announced during the event.
The foundation has pledged $1.7 million to Take Stock in Children Palm Beach County to provide these students with 2-year Florida Prepaid Scholarships. This funding will establish scholarships and programmatic services for the next five years.
Held in West Palm Beach, the celebration featured students crossing the stage in their caps and declaring their selected colleges and universities. This was the first-ever College Decision Day Celebration hosted by Take Stock in Children Palm Beach County.
